Unless your trailer hitch ball specifies a different torque for the ball nut, use these torque values:
- Trailer hitch ball with a 3/4" shank - Torque nut to 160 ft. lbs.
- Trailer hitch ball with a 1" shank - Torque nut to 250 ft. lbs.
- Trailer hitch ball with a 1-1/4" shank - Torque nut to 450 ft. lbs.
