Buyers kingpins are forged from AISI 8630 steel and heat treated to create and maintain a hardness of 302-363 BHN. The combination of material and process will maintain approximately 150,000 P.S.I. in ultimate strength which will meet or exceed the performance specification set by SAE. The precise heat treating process allows Buyers to offer all of their kingpins at a performance level that maximizes the hardness and still maintains impact resistance.
Buyers kingpins are easily weldable due to design and material. The 8630 steel provides for good material weldability, saving time and money in installation and replacement.
